I typically post the same old news day in and day out. I'm sure to most of you it is very boring. But I do want to share with you something that I deem very important. My sister, Laura, who lives in Atlanta lost her job several weeks ago. She is a single mother and over the course of the last 5 years has not had a steady job until this past job. So I asked my Sunday school class to please pray for her, that she would find something soon.
Hi Laura,
Please find the attached documents for the information you need for your scheduled interview on Tuesday 3/29/11. Please arrive a few minutes early as the lobby can get congested with visitors and we will need a few minutes to get you to your interview.
Attached are also directions, please be sure to use these directions and do NOT use mapquest or any GPS locator as they will NOT take you to the proper address. Also attached is an application to fill out and bring with you to your interview to give to Cindy Guinn.
Please reply to this email so I know you received it.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Amy

I love these God is good moments! Will definitely be praying for your sister! Thank you for sharing, I believe the same, we don't see these as much because we do not boldly ask! Amen!!!!
I consider it a true honor to be asked and I promise I will pray for Laura on Tuesday. Your Mom told me this story yesterday and I was reminded of how God is interested in all of our smallest details and he HEARS & HONORS our prayers!
Our God is so good!! I will pray for your sister tomorrow. Please keep us updated. I think it is so important for us to share how God works in our lives so we can testify to others and to give Him the glory He is so deserving to receive.
Jesus,
Laura needs a job. She's the only one providing for her family. Would you shine favor over her at the interview tomorrow if this is the job that will be best for her. And, if it is not, will You, the God Most High, bring another opportunity to her quickly. You are good. All the time. You are trustworthy. All the time. You are near. All the time.
We love You, Jesus.
Suzanne, let us know what happens with Laura and the job.
And, it's true about modern day miracles. They DO happen. We just need to ask. We were just at a missions conference Friday night and the pastor said, "Run to the broken. That's where you see the miracles." And, I believe it's true. It's in brokenness that we're really running to Jesus and asking Him to come and do major miracles. He's just waiting for us to ask. After all, He told His disciples that WE WILL SEE GREATER THINGS THAN WHAT HE DID WHILE ON EARTH. We HAVE received power when we received the Holy Spirit. Jesus, help us to believe that WE CAN SEE MIRACLES. And, that You want to do miracles not in someone else's life, but in OUR LIFE!
:-)
hugs,
Kim
I tried to comment earlier but my computer would not let me-- I am so happy to hear about this. It is these moments you realize how real our God is. And he is in the business of making miracles.
I am always moved by the power of prayer. I'm saying a prayer for your sister too! I just caught up on the Tyler Adventures for the last 2 weeks - and I LOVE these cakes. The surprise bikini birthday cake is hilarious. =)
